コスメティックブランド〈SHIRO〉が手掛ける化粧水「ホーリーバジルオイルインウォーター 2022」を香りの側面からリデザイン。
化粧水の原料に使われているカプーア・トゥルシーは、北アフリカ生まれのホーリーバジルで、花は甘くやわらかく葉や茎はスパイシーな香りが特徴。繊細な天然素材の魅力はそのままに、持てるポテンシャルを存分かつ適正に引き出すために、Olfactive Stuedio Neでは生産工程を一から細かく見直していった。
収穫や葉のカットの仕方にはじまり、保存法、乾燥のプロセス、輸送手段に至るまで、細かく分析。約半年にわたり実験と検証を繰り返した結果、より高い品質と豊かな香りへのグレードアップに成功している。

We supported the redesign of ‘Holy Basil Oil in Water 2022’, a toner fragrance produced by cosmetics brand SHIRO.
Its raw material is karpoora tulsi, a holy basil originating in North Africa. Tulsi flowers have characteristic sweet and soft scents, while the stems and leaves are spicy. Olfactive Studio Ne reviewed in detail each manufacturing step, to maximise quality without losing the delicacy of the natural materials.
Close analyses were made at each production stage, from method of leaf cutting at harvest, to storage, drying, and transport conditions. Our six-month experimentation and verification resulted in a successful redesign and update of this fragrance, with higher quality and richer aroma.
