This is the first offering by Olfactive Studio Ne that applies fragrance to tealeaves. It results from a collaboration with Inouesaryo, a Japanese tea brand based in Hyogo. Together, we have developed entirely new types of blend.
The fragrances are compounded from ingredients ubiquitous to the area surrounding our studio on Awaji island, or else taken from our standard atelier pallets. We added nothing rare or special. After much experiment, we began by launching six flavours: Shallow-roasted Hojicha Tea×Tulsi (Holy Basil); Pot-roasted tea×Mugwort; Twig Green Tea×Green Perilla; Twig Green Tea×Cuba Mint; Japanese Black Tea×Lavender×Geranium×Bergamot; and Deep-roasted Hojicha Tea×Hinoki. We have now expanded this offering to eight blends.
This special product range with unprecedented, rich flavours and depth, has been realized to fully combine senses of smell and taste.
